where is the best place i can get a single box rc40 from? or is there a better exhaust avaiable? i love listening to the exhaust note of any vehicle i drive so the louder the better thanks joe

thanks jackdaw  will have a look what manifold is on my mini cause the guy who had is before me has a freeflow manifold of some type on there, 1.75" down pipe welded to a mayfair backbox :S |

Once you have a list of what you have now and an idea of what you want, I would ring Maniflow up and have a chat with them.
I know from the past that they are very good at giving expert advice.

I've got the Maniflow Large Bore 2" front to back single box system ....... but it is a 1380! hey jackdaw its probablt shrunk by now through lack of use lol ;D but im the same as jackdaw 2" single play mini back box and is loud very very loud and i do have that in writting ;D |

1.75" is a little to big for a 998
I know it doesn't sound like much but a 1.5" is plenty big enough for a 998 any bigger and you'll loose bhp

Thats why a chat with Maniflow would be good - they wont advise fitting an oversized bore exhaust for a 998. |

I've got a stainless single rc40 on mine (was originally on my cooper) but I'm gonna put the maniflow box back on as its better built and sounds better. I got the whole maniflow system mini-its cheaper than direct from maniflow

was just on the maniflow website and there split up under engine size, 1.75" was under 850-1000 |

most places i have read say that 1.75" is the best performance for a 998 as they are 1.5" standard and mine is prity nippy with just the exhaust and inlet manifold alot more than my mates one who was over the otehr day
