I did a bit of work on this car back in the old mini spares centre and the pictures dont do it any justice, its even more shiny than it looks and is in really good condition.
Nice to see some really nice minis about, keep up the good work on the polishing gareth.

That's clean.....nice one :-) I considered the wavy grill for my mini...I may buy one in the future and change it now and again depending on what mood Im in...makes YOUR car look more retro

Gar, I've been a member here for a couple of months now and would love to know some more about your car. It looks stunning mate. Did you buy it like this, did you restore it, whats the engine spec like. Please give me some details thanks for the interest, it started life as a sidewalk edition i was only going to give it a quick going over then sell it but i got a bit carried away, anyway a quick rundown for you :- 1995 sidewalk, colour charcoal, repainted in an audi colour which is more or less the same appart from it has more sparkle as with the roof and stripes (will have to find the name for the colours) engine was a 1275 or 13i now has an MED 1380 comp single point stage 4 head 1.5 rockers lightened and balanced not sure which pistons was used, new front subframe gearbox straight cut 4 pin diff plus some other bits, exhaust has been changed from the one in the photo to a 3 into 1 manifold with a straight through 52mm center pipe into a center exit with twin ends (milltec) interior , fron seats came out of a 2.8 capri, rear standard, rear headrests are from a 3 series e30 bmw( cut down )doorcards are from newton something or other, dashboard is out of the 500 sportpack alpine head unit pioneer rear speakers, infinity fronts with tweeters, new black headliner to be put in as soon as i can wheels are 6x12 deep dish superlites (i think) falken tyres 165x 60 (again i think without checking) suspension are gaz adjustables lowered, high lows brakes, minifins on rear 4 pot vented on front with areoquip flexies (soon to be upgaded these dont stop me quick enough) original bits left on the car are the red seatbelts( i need a set of black ones) and the rear sub frame assembly (soon to be changed also) esimated spend TOO MUCH  hope this little rundown has answed a few questions for you, bigend. ;D ;D |
