Has anyone tried either of these Oil Additives / Friction Eliminators in their engines and got any good or bad reports about them? I have used both in the past (but not at the same time!) and don't know if they work or not as I have never had any major problems with the 1380 engine (does that mean that they do work ) Is it value for money (£20 / £25) or is just doing the regular oil and filter changes with good quality oil enough to protect your engine for the future ? jc

Hmmmmm. I think i used Slick 50 in my early rally days. Wether it worked or not is open to debate because i used to strip the engine down regularly and change the bearings and oil pump as a matter of course. Needless to say, i did have engine failure sometimes but that was usually caused by something else breaking or failing. Because the oil and filter was changed at VERY regular intervals i stopped using Slick 50. So in retrospect, my experience with it is not really a fair reflection on it's Anti friction etc, properties. It would be better suited to a cooking road engine than a mental short - stroke motah.
