As you can probably guess... I am at work... I am REALLY busy (Not) I spent about 3 hrs yesterday knocking this up... Going to cover it in black suede... then trim the edges with some chrome stripping. Hopefully done in time for the bay run. What you think?

Well last night I went out for a trial fit... Damn thing is not wide enough!! So spent the evening re-making the centre parts!! Don't know what happened as I had made a cardboard template and offered it up. I think the heater unit has grown!
Will have another go tonight and see what happens.

Looks really good, looking forward to seeing a pic of it finished and fitted One thing to consider though is the hot air output from the heater blows downwards - if you intend putting your radio in there then you have to protect it in some way from the heater, also if you dont allow the air from the heater to duct into the car in some way, it will be a cold winter!!! jc

Yeah... was thinking of putting in a metal plate with a gap above the stereo to deflect the heat. What do they do with the shop bought jobbers?? Anyone have one?

I used to have a center console ad my cdpayer used to get boiling after more than half an hours drive. for a while i did consider putting a bit of mdf just above the cd player to direct the blown air towards the back of the cd player.
other than that i dont know what you can do without cutting holes and puttin in vents...
(red bit is the bit i was going to add)

the red bit was the bit i was going to use to put above the cd player to direct the hot air towards the back of the unit instead of blowing straight down onto the cd player.

Still trying to find the right fabric for the dashboard though... Want it to match the seats. Corbeau do supply it... but for £20 a meter... then they want £20 postage!!
