have you checked the pedal to master cylinder plunger clevis pin it has been known for water to penetrate the bulhead and cause this pin to rust which in turn could cause some fouling

basicly the nut on the end of the clutch arm/plunger should be 6mm away from the clutch housing

Not sorted yet.... The guy still has the Mini at his garage... lets just say his communication skills could do with some brushing up!!
He said that the ball joint on the end of the actuator arm thingy bit had snapped off??
He is now trying to sort out the hazards for us!
Will be back soon... hopefully!

Yes not half, Newcastle is 'Get Carter' country and that's a cracking film. (Almost as good as 'The Italian Job'). Hell of a distance though.

Hi again guys,
Dai9fsay- No he did not change any bits apart from the slave cylinder and actuator arm bit. He said the actual clutch was in good nick. The car has only done 20,000 odd miles. Seems ok at the mo... bit crunchy going into reverse though!?
Yes Phil - they do speak a different language.... its almost as hard to understand a thoroughbred Geordie as it is a Welshman!! Ha Ha!!
