i enjoyed the day, and got some kind of wierd buzz watching all the minis going down the road. It will be good to see the photos, and thanks for the coffee. I actually managed to get the roof open on the way back to Abergavenny. All in all a great day out on a Sunday. I'm going to round it off now and make myself a curry, and crack open a bottle of vino.

dohboy limped home, after i put a cable tie around his clutch on the a470, lol,,, a quick fix tho,,, just as well i needed juice or i would have missed him broken down,, cool day out, i got in the mini at 9am and got out of it at 6pm, good route braceyourself, enjoyed every minute, except of very nearly running out of motion lotion,, photos when i can be assed!!!!!!  good to see so many minis there, even if the weather was abysmal,,,,,,,, |

we forgot our camera so great to see some fab photos ,very good route thanks for that braceuself although i appear to be an inch shorter as cattle grids and (apparently) NO SUSPENSION is the cause still all good fun , once again had a great time always a pleasure cant wait for next run

We had an awesome time!! Can't believe how well the rain stops were organised... Military precision!! It was really good seeing all of the views and minis ... beautiful! Many thanks to Phil, Corina and family for Tea!! Cheers to Braceuself for being "Leader!"
Biggest thanks to Irishstick for bodging the slave cylinder back together. We were merrily chugging along the A470 when I said the words... "Well the clutch hasn't played up to much today!" 10 seconds later (Literally) no gears and a roundabout approaching!! At this point we were flying solo as Irishstick had gone for petrol. Luckily with head under bonnet I heard the rumble of the twin DTM!! The seal off the slave cylinder kept popping off... so with the luck of the Irish and a couple of cable ties the bloody thing got bodged enough to work. Had to stay in 3rd all the way home as I didn't dare try and change gear again!! After some awesome timing on 2 roundabouts - no gear changing, no stopping - we managed to pootle back to Pontypridd... only to get stuck on a set of traffic lights. Luckily, being on a slight downhill... I just let the car role through the junction! So clutch is totally knacked now... got to ring the garage and get him booked in ASAP.
With Herbert out of commision Hol has had to borrow the Ugly Car (My Subaru Forester!) So we had to go out last night so she could get a feel for a car twice the length and nearly twice the width of Herbert! She did great! Although braking was a little, errr... how should I put this?? Abrupt!! ... I did wince a bit with the revs too.... "If you can try to avoid the red part of the rev counter.. that would be good!"
So...thanks again Richy... We owe you one... and two cable ties!!

had a fab day yesterday !! one of the best ones yet !! thanks to Corina for all the tea and thanks to Braceuself for checking my water on the way home... sorry about saying it was ok for you to get scoulded and not me ....it was only a joke lol !! was a bit worried after Id said it !! lol !! great route and great company. oh and thanks to Phil J for giving Tootle a mud bath on the way home !! 2 HOURS of washing and buffing coming up for me later !!! lo !!!
