Hi . Just wondering if anyone can help with this one. On the way back from the run yesterday my windscreen wipers stopped working ? I think my headlights stopped working aswell but this morning they were working again but not my wipers. Is it just a fuse ? Could I mend it myself ?

Have you checked your fuses? Things pack up on mine all the time & it's usually down to fuses lol

Another thing to try if you find out that its not a fuse problem is to unplug the connector to the wiper motor and see if the pins are corroded, if they are then clean them up with a small piece of emery paper and give the connector a squirt of WD40 then reconnect the plug and try the wipers

Do you mean the wiper motor park-switch? Pesky thing and if your wipers had stopped parking themselves too then it's well worth replacing the park-switch as it causes all kinds of electrical problems.

Hi Phil well there doesn't seem to be a clamp (one on postie connection only) it just pulled off but the the other end that goes to the car metal to earth (ithink) is just a mess of wire coered oer with tape and just pushed on...funny I didn't notice but haent need to ...was gonna charge battery and get 'Austin' back on th road.

my minsi now got wiper probs again ,. it cant be the switch and we know i changed that could it be the motot. itll work occasionally but it was very poor and i think gettin our off the car in the road to set ur wipers off working again doesnt please other drivers i had a look tongiht checked all the wires and the switch.. still looks new. one of the wires on the motor to the switch was loose stuff that back on . the motor sounded rough then worked a little until it stopped compeltely again... could this be down to the motor?
