number nine key on mobile either doesnt work or sticks.sent phone off to three for repair.comes back with letter saying we wont repair cos its water damaged.pulled off key pad and there is no sign of water damage but the key itself is damaged on the rubber key pad.told 3 the problem and they said our technical team are never wrong.i can see the broken key!they refuse to look at it.they then said if its just the key pad you can pay yourself cos we not looking at it again!i'm absolutely effed off!

i have the same prob with my nokia....took it to cardiff to be sorted and they say its got water damage and showed me a little sticker thats changed colour slightly....it means that liquid has gone in there but god knows how....and they will not fix it without charging me.....
luckly ive got my old mda here as a back up....ask byron about 3 .lol

i have the same prob with my nokia....took it to cardiff to be sorted and they say its got water damage and showed me a little sticker thats changed colour slightly....it means that liquid has gone in there but god knows how....and they will not fix it without charging me..... luckly ive got my old mda here as a back up....ask byron about 3 .lol had the exact same thing a few years back, the phone was a week old and had not even left the house. when we explained that there was no physical way water had even been near it they came back with " it must have been sweat of your face" and still refused to replace it. we finaly got it replaced/fixed for free but it took alot of argueing with the manager of the store. i think them blameing water damage is a very easy way of getting out of the costs of fixing mobiles |

 everyone left out that their signal is crap cos don't use their own masks anymore just other companies masts, latest phone i had of them has smashed screen cos i was in middle of important call + kept knocking off cos looseing signal + threw my toys out of the pram. had great pleasure in telling 3 where to put their contact last week when i cancelled my contact up in 3 wks. their customer services is absolutely crap + won't recomend to anyone rant over

Water damage is just a cop out. I saw that TV show 'Don't Get Don Get Dom' and a consumer was having problems with the laptop they'd bought from PC World. PC World said it was water damage and wouldn't fix or replace it. Their customer service was appalling and the guy in the shop was openly rude too. Dom saw that they got a replacement as TV publicity isn't good and no the laptop wasn't water damaged at all as it turned out. |

got a mte who bought a phone that stopped working 3 weeks later, took it back and it got sent away, had it back 3 weeks later and it broke in another week.
took it back again, got sent away and engineers refused to touch it as it had been opened before..
they had no record of ever having his phone previously so said it must have been an unauthorised repair.
will not touch his phone.
phoned watchdog, ferret and the other one and no-one has got back to him..
