gearbox casing

are the mini gearbox casings inter-changable ?

i know blod's took a whack in the bump and poured out all her oil, still havent examined to see the full extent of the damge,

But if it a cracked sump could it be changed with a another sump from another mini,
Would it have to be an MPI sump or are they all the same ?

All the 1275 A+ box casings are the same as I've found out on numerous occasions

A plus Gearbox casings.

DAM 4818. Rod change with 4 bolt bearing retainer.
DAM 2886. Rod change, 4 bolt bearing retainer, stronger idler housing.
DAM 5626 A plus with 3 bolt bearing retainer.

The 3 bolt casing is the best of the bunch because the 4 bolt casings tended to crack around the extra bolt hole.
