A Mini built between 1959 - 2000 would be best and one with the least amount of rust, plus the longest MOT.

Okay not much help, but arm yourself with a magnet when you go to view a Mini and ensure all those panels are steel and not made up of filler or cardboard etc.

Either way find a good one and you'll be very happy.
