Still having issues with water, oil and clutch leaks.
Had to put 2litres if water into the rad to get the level back up. I'm thinking its coming out from the water pump gasket / thermostat housing gasket. It was over 12 hours since I had parked it up, but there was still pressure when I took the rad cap off even though it was dry inside.
Not floaties, brown sludge or anything dodgy looking.
The night I went home from Sarah and Deans (Sunday) we stopped at Rob's for a fiddle with the timing. I took the oil cap off for a looksie and it was covered in white cream. Rob said it might be the head gasket, I didnt even wipe it off, just screwed it back on. I just checked it again today and theres nothing on there now.
The oil level is good, the oil on the dipstick is just slightly dirty. Although the oil filter housing is the culprit for the oil leak - I'm sure of it - as the grime and gunk covering it is always wet looking.
The clutch slave cylinder is leaking like crazy, cant really see how much is in the plastic pot in the pic but its not something that can be ignored. So I'll be getting a new one - thanks to Dean for his spare one but I'll feel better putting a spanking new one on.
Noticed this before putting the bonnet back on. Sort of worrying!!!
Is this an early warning sign for a head gasket on its way out? Perfomance hasnt been affected, was doing 75 yesterday on the motorway. Once its warm not even the acceleration is comprimised. It's actually running better than ever after Rob's tinkering Sunday night!
