Recently i've stopped enjoying mini ownership etc, so i've decided its time to sell up and have a break from minis for a while. all projects are now on stop and will be going up for sale, once they have gone the Cooper will be sold and i'll have to do with some moden Euro-box to get me around i'll still be hanging around on here ( for the time being) as i enjoy the banter and (hopefully) helping people out. hope to see you all around at some point lawson

When i read the thread heading i thought you were packing in your job LJ, not packing the Minis up. I hope you don't live to regret it. Keep one of them, just so you can have a tinker with when you get bored with your replacement Euro Blob. I feel like chucking Minis in as well sometimes and having the luxury of a mode of transport with flash things like leccy windows, remote control door mirrors, radio, ABS etc. Then i realised that a large proportion of motorists in this country had the same such thing. Boring.

I've already spoken to my parents about selling my mini to give myself the easy life, but I would miss it.
Your gonna regret it!

its been a long time coming, i hoped buying the Cooper a few month back would help me start enjoying them again but its just caused more hastle than good ( nothing wrong with it, just to many cars on drive now) im gonna stay with classic cars as a hobby, but i havent decided which one yet. plus i'll have the city to play around with

I felt the same on monday....tried to fit a new inlet manifold and it caused more problems than it solved...ended up re-bodging the old one and hoping it worked (which it did)...now with the new wheels, larger battery and headlights that acutally light up the road....i`d never part with her.....
best of luck with whatever you decide

to be honest with you i agree with phil.take it to mini 50 or a show before and sell them if thats what you want as i think you'll get more money.i also think you'll regret it if you aint got your own mini to go to shows next year as its a big year for the little car

well I'm in no rush to sell any of them but i think its time to move on. not really bothered about the money as i know i wont get any where near the amount I've spent on them i think i might keep colin ( the van) as he's rather special but we'll see how things go, well my father says I'm to offer it to him first so he will probably stay in the family if i sell him . i had a potential buyer for the flame come around earlier so i think thats defiantly going first. thanks for the support guys and yes i probably will regret it but i think i need a new challenge now, I've owned minis for nearly 7 years now and i don't think theres a single job i haven't done ( not sure if thats a good thing or not ) as said I'm gonna stick around for a while if thats ok with you lot? plus its the only way i can tel my father about runs etc. he's registered on here but never seems to log on, and when he misses something he blames me for not telling him

I felt much the same way in 2004 and so I put my Mini into a long hibernation.
Then last year I put it back on the road and thanked my lucky stars that I hadn't parted with it after all because it's the best fun on 4 wheels.
