anyone know?when driven clutch pedal goes down smoothly but when engine is idling its really stiff

problem found.didn't only happen when idling.the rod from pedal to master cylinder was rusty.wd40 did the job

Tidy Rich. I had a look through the problem pages but couldn't seem to find an answer to that malady. I was thinking along the lines of Primary gear etc. Thank god it was easy fix.

how much work is it to take that rod out to clean it up?

how does the top of the rod come out? you have to remove the clutch cylinder, turn it upside down and youl see a circlip. remove the circlip with a circlip pliers.the bottom cap can be removed. then its just a case of taking out the rod cleaning it up then refitting it all
