I find that when I try to drive my mini like a normal car, it hesitates after every gear change, its really jerky when you try to press the pedal in slowly and not very responsive at all. But when I drive it hard and get the revs up, its the opposite After changing gear it keeps pulling hard, the pedal seems free'er and its very responsive when you touch the pedal. I know the timing isnt anywhere near being spot on and biker said it might be running a little on the lean side too. So if I have it timed and tuned by someone in the know, ie. rolling road it! ;D will it be better to drive when I feel like driving it like a normal car? What sort of driving style does everyone else have?

It's hard to drive a Mini like an ordinary car, as the little bugger just begs to be driven hard and fast. I do obey the speed limits here, but when I'm travelling across the Bwlch mountain, I just can't help putting it through it's paces and making good use of it's handling. But saying that it's great fun at any speed, which is why a Mini is probably the best car you can own now.

I try and keep my head screwed on since I span it on a roundabout, i wasn't really hopping it (45round the roundabout connecting two 50 sections), I just drove above my level. put the fear of god into me to be honest so now I'm a Sunday driver. I'm trying to get the car as reliable and comfortable as I can now because i've been put off going 'fast'.... ...saying that though, i do keep to the speed limit... even if its a roundabout or collection of tight corners with 'recommended' speeds of 20 and below on a 30 ive found by doing this though that there's no need to speed to have fun with the mini, because even at 30mph the Waungraun (spelling?) bends near Grovesend feel like 100mph. *finishes his sensible speech and awaits the next person to say 'fast' *

nu uh! put the sh!ts right up me! flying backwards off a roundabound down a dual carriageway while only thinking about: "no crumple zone", "no side impact bar", "low back seats=paralysis" and all the other things you hear has really helped me cool things down luckily i didnt even scrag an alloy .

lol ive done the same in my saxo but did more than scrag an alloy i snapped of the n/s/r trailing arm againts one of the exit kerbs as oil on the road slid me round narrowly missing school bus turning off on the same exit... then sliding on the inside of my other wheel against kerb around roundabout for about 20feet then bouncing off into mainstream traffic. now thats scarey...
