Hi, My name is Mark Lintern and I live in Gorseinon, Swansea. Been into Minis since 1987 when I had my first experience of a silver Mayfair, since then hooked. Presently own a 1991 BRG Cooper which was only bought in Nov 08 to commute back and forth to work as I have had 3 close shaves on my motorbike in as many days from drivers not watching where they were going. Didn't realise that the old flame would re-ignite and now I'm loving it all over again. J723 EMY is mini No.9 although not had one for the last 10 years. Slowly it is all coming back to me but I intend to make this one a little special over time, like de-seaming, engine upgrade interior re-fit so if any of you out there have any bits that need a new home drop me an email. I was once a member of the South Wales Mini Owners Club and was also a member of the Osnabruck Mini Club in Germany and have attended several IMM including Sweden and Ireland. In 1990 I bought a new mainstream cooper which was used all over Germany whilst I was in the forces with regular trips back and forth to the UK, this one I fitted a R/H tank to for better range on the autobahns of Germany. Hopefully over the coming year I will get to say hello to some of you in person and attend some of the shows, so until then,TTFN No such thing as strangers, only friends I've yet to meet.

Have you got a brother called Darren?
I remember you from the old South Wales Mini Club and I owned the red 1990 Mainstream Cooper, which I've still got!
I remember the 1997 IMM at Ireland and I also seem to remember that you weren't all too well that weekend?
;D

Oh yes, remember that weekend very well, must have been something I ate, and yes good old bruv Darren is doing fine but not into Minis any more, we enjoy our bikes at the mo and going to the likes of 'Bulldog Bash', MCN rallies etc,etc but this Mini bug thing has come back and loving it again. This one is a bit tired but will slowly be turned into something nice again. Trying to remember you so give me a clue.

Nope, I'd prefer to remain an enigma! LOL
Well I was one of Rob's mates (he had the green Mainstream Cooper at the time).
I was with him at the Irish IMM.

He's fine and he's back into Minis, but he spends most of his time in Bristol these days as that's where his misses and baby are.

Yes I'm sure our paths will cross again, even though I'm a lot older and fatter now (unfortunately). Well I'm sure someone in the Swansea area could help you out? So come on folks, someone must have a cone compressor?

Where by in Gorseinon are you from? Send me a PM if you like, think we have a cone compressor, but im no idea if its any good or not because we ended up having to take the mini to 'Target mini spares' in Waurnaloydd (cant spell it lol) i would recommend them but i think they may be at Bingley hall show...
