it finally arrived after many excuses for late arrival but 1st impression it looks well made with nice thick fibreglass unlike some cheap dashes on ebay. has anyone fitted 1 of these dashes + so what's the best way of cutting out the holes for clocks etc without damageing the dash got a few methods of doing it in my head but want to make sure as little as possible damage done otherwise she will string me up

yep ;D with regard to the holes, i marked them out and chain drilled them out but slightly smaller than filled out the holes to match the circle i had marked, it took a fair bit of doing mind. if i had the correct size hole saw i would of used that to save alot of work. dont worry about damage the great thing with fiberglass is you can repair it with new fiberglass and filler ( reinforced is best) and start again

thanks lawson i was thinking jigsaw, but its hard to get the circle right, thought that a hole cutter would be a bit harsh on the fibreglass??

put lots or masking tape over the area that you want to cut then use a hole cutter

cheers guys, pretty much wa was thinking of doing but always handy to ask incase there an easier way lol. did'nt think about masking tape ideas are still up in the air at moment lj, know she said she wants gold + purple to match colour scheme on car etc

looks good, you gonna fit the glove box? i didnt bother as i needed the mini on the road but with the intention of fitting it at a later date but never got around to it

yep...the glove box is going in but will be removeable,
just looking at some switches, the ones i like are £14 each...gutted

How you gonna wire up the hazards switch, i've heard its a b!tch to work out how to change it over to a nicer looking switch

think thats the same switches she wants from memory, we are fitting glove box etc + medusa will be coming of the road for a couple of weeks while we do a couple of jobs to it + useing bob the auto ( should be fun driveing an auto ) lol

when i drove bob i hated it, autos just aint for me. if you need any help with the hazard wireing give me a shout and i'll be able to knock up a adaptor for you
