Finally got around to having a proper look at the car ready for mot, the small patch that it needs welding might be a bit bigger, I will have to drop one side of the rear subframe to take a better look, good news though, I have someone very local to weld it up for me so at least it will be solid then, hopefully all done by the weekend then it's up for sale

Subframe dropped and the "little hole" is now big enough to get my fist through

Luckily the subframe mounting panel is solid enough so hopefully some fabrication and welding and it will be as good as new tomorow

Welding is all done
Fair play the mate who did it has done a brilliant job, and the repair is hardly noticable. Underseal it all tomorow, refit subframe and hopefully mot on monday morning

Failed on silly things that I should have picked up on, steering rack gator , 2 x cv joint gators and a rusty brake pipe. Anyone know somewhere local that sells the cut and glue type cv gators? just to save some time so I can get it back down there for a retest tomorow or thursday

not too bad mate, i usually get away with the rusty pipes getting wire brushed down + greased up but dont hold me too it lol

Just found a pair of cv gators in the shed, I'm sure I have some sterring rack gators here too so hopefully it will only be the brake pipe to buy if it won't clean up
