Phil's idea about sending our shootout results to Mini World and Mini Magazine to hopefully get courage will be good for the club and might even get us a few more new members. Everyone was there watching the screen so you all got nowt to hide ;D If you are unsure what your printout is telling you, then this will explain it to you. Quote the text at the bottom of this post and fill in with your own details  I'll start us off...... Engine Size : 1275cc. Mods : Cone airfilter, electronic ignition. Fueling : HIF38. Exhaust : LCB, 2" straight through pipe with unknown backbox. Wheels : 13" Revolutions. Expected Result : 30-40bhp. Actual Result : 77bhp @ flywheel, 49bhp @ wheels. Comments :Really happy, much better than expected since head rebulid.

Exhaust : Straight through Arrow Motorcycle Exhaust.
Wheels : 12x5.5 Revo's
Expected Result :46ish
Actual Result :49.5 @ Flywheel, 28.5 @ Wheels

Engine Size : 1275cc Mods : , K&N Cone Filter & a slightly richer (BDP I think?) needle. Fueling : HIF44 Exhaust : Maniflow LCB & 1"3/4 Twin Box Exhaust System. Wheels : Standard O/E 12" Rover Minilite Style Alloys. Expected Result : Anything over 61bhp would be nice. Actual Result : 68bhp @ flywheel, 38.5bhp @ wheels. Comments : Extremely happy, especially as I was told that it didn't need anything more doing to it in it's current set-up. Although I am a bit miffed that I only managed 1.5bhp more than Phil since his is completely standard and still has it's cat fitted! So was the improvements promised from de-catting all a myth?  Either way I'm still really chuffed to have 7bhp more than the manufacturers quoted figures. ;D |

Mods : Playmini exhaust (from CAT back)
Fueling : Standard multi point injection
Exhaust : Stainless Steel, Playmini 2" with 3" tailpipe
Wheels : Standard Sportspack 13 x 6
Expected Result : around 60 bhp
Actual Result : 67 bhp @ flywheel, 37 bhp @ wheels
Comments : Glad it finished still in one piece and we were able to drive home!

Reply back from miniworld, They "might" publish something if we do the full write up for them  Still waiting for a reply from mini mag as Jef is away untill Wednesday, Hopefully they will be a bit more helpfull. |

wo how come jus is 100bhp? cause my car is special.... ;D we`ve done loads of work on her from getting rid of the spi setup to getting the head rebuilt...tommy said that it may have a different cam or something like that...plus the previous owners said it had been downtown tuned, but god knows what they did to it...lol.... |

Mind you the Severn Bridge tolls are so expensive now that it's probably cheaper to go to Alton Towers for the day? So perhaps that's what put them off? |
