my step son has just insured his bmw...its £2,200 a year...his monthly payment is more than my yearly one...its not fair on young drivers, but it will go down as long as you dont claim...
good luck finding a quote (have you tried pd james...?)

well i was looking to sell my minis and buy a civic type R but then i had a bit of a shock when it came to insurance, £2000 and thats with my 5 years no claims!
my cooper only costs £356 and that was a big jump up from the flame. so looks like im sticking to the mini for a while longer

I think i had a renwal quote on mine for £700 and that a 1275cc. with i years no claims. Direct line are prob the cheapest about i find.

They dont do online qoutes Irish but will give them a ring in the morning Most classic policies wont touch 17 year olds though
