HI all
i have found my new project !!!
a mini shorty i whent to a scrapys to see if he had any doors for my mayfair and in pasting saw the shorty in tha shed filled with bike wheels.the scrapy had it as a project but like most project just dont have the time. it is a rolling shell and all the body work is sweet with NO RUST !! it is coming with a 998cc automatic.
should be droped off in the next few weeks I can not wait ( i dont sleep last night it feels like xmas)
has any one got a shorty already ? and if so is there any big problems i should look out for
i am off to run around the garden and make space for my new toy

Some people have all the luck! Looks like thats gonna be a show stopper with a bit of work! Never seen such a wide bodied shorty! And as has been said all the hard graft's been done more or less! Paint it, slap some lights on it and chuck an engine in and you'll be good to go hehe ;D

I remember seeing mini headlights converted to a rear light cluster in the past, I think they are the same size, I'll try and find the link for you

Those classic round rear light clusters always reminded me of the single eye on the aliens from the original 1953 version of 'War Of The Worlds': - So I'd say that's where Ford got the idea from? Okay perhaps not and I guess they really got it from the late 1950's/early 1960's rear lights on many a large American car?
