Can anyone tell me why i have been told my speedo has to be moved because my Project mini has a weber 45 carb fitted?
also what has to be modified? the carb is fitted to a 3into1 and fitted to the engine already but thats it.

Hi there. Welcome. I imagine you have a central speedo as opposed to the speedo cluster in front of the steering wheel. Basically, it's all about space or lack of it. If you.ve got a "Swan Neck" inlet manifold it is just possible to squeeze a Weber in with the help of a hammer. But then there is no space for an air filter. The other types of inlet manifold are all longer and an airbox will have to be welded into the back of the engine bay exactly where the centre speedo is.

Il swap you a triple clock set for the single center clock? . As dai said, if it needs a airbox welded in it will mean your speedo would stick out way too far from the dash rails. Not to mention speedo cable wont reach..

how hard is it to put a triple clock set in there instead of the single clock?
Are they worth the same amount?
Thanks for all the info so far, i have never owned or never been in a mini before i bought this.

The single clock is worth a bit more than most triple clocks to be honest, I was just messing about as I fancy swapping to single clock... lol. However the offer still stands lol ;D um to convert over im not sure really, its normally the other way around..? I suppose you would need the 3 clock set, The cage to support the triple clocks (unless your using a dashboard), a different speedo cable, and im guessing there would be some soldering needed. (as you would need to get a hold of the connector for the back of the triple clocks and solder that to your existing wiring) I believe that would be it though?
