remove the number plate off the equinox before I sell the car? There is still an MOT on the car till 14th of Oct which means I can get the plate on retention if I hurry up. Someone came to see the car yesterday and will have an answer for me this week but I am already thinking of finishing it. Don't know what to do. Anyone?

I'd keep it on retention - its a cool plate & would be suitable for any car - you could ebay it if you didnt particularly want it

Hmmm. Depends on how much you're prepared to sell the Equinox for without that plate. The FUN part of the plate is connected to Coopers garages in a roundabout way. As HT says, if you like the Number plate, keep it until you decide what do with it.

The car should fetch £6-800 without it Dai. Depends whether I can be assed this week to get down to the DVLA in Swansea.
