running problems

ok a few questions for those in the know!

got the car back after 2months! off work being done and it just wont run properly!

once driven for 2mins when ideling the choke can be taken out otherwise it strugles but the minute you put up the revs it wants the choke on full otherwise it is undrivable.

the fuel filter only has about a cm of fuel inside it? should this be full?

i know the timing is not amazing but if it was miles off it wouldnt be running at all.

after its warmed up when idling it wants the choke in. you put the choke in, and if you give it a rev the power drops off??

Maybe worth having a mess with the timing if im honest... provided you get that as close as you can with a strobe light then you can take timing out of the equation...

Have you checked the idling speed? Mine idles between 800-1000 with the choke off.

if timing is ok, and idle speed is fine then obviously fueling!

Im not sure on the fuel filter as ive not got one..
