I know I was proper bricking it after the autograss, I do like the Revos on it I need to polish the rims up a tad more though and clean them .

Well I dunno how much the bodywork would come to but I've been quoted £650 for a full respray, he said roughly the amount of filler work mine needs Im thinking more £800

I'm going to need to get the panels replaced they are pretty rotten. what do you guys think about flip fronts or those flip fronts that just clip off??

I put a removable front on mine, fiberglass and now a steel one. In the 3 years its been off once and that was for the respray. Waste of time if you ask me, just replace the panels.

why would it crack? well technically its the gel coat that cracks, also gel coat suffers from crazing. no matter what car you got there is some (very small) twisting in the shell as you go round corners etc, when you solid mount a f/g front the gell coat cracks with the movement.

Carbon fibre Another thing with fibreglass fronts.. Make sure it's the best quality, or it will be a really poor fit..

Yep my f/g one was from ABS which are regarded as the best and the fit was shockingly.bad

so to cut a long story short have a steel flip front and weld it on let say for easy of access to the engine bay and around the sides of the engine if I were to take the inner wings out would I still need to brace bar it?

I have now too , yeah its a TDI felt odd filling it up with diesel today though after having petrols for the last four odd years
