Mini 30

This is my mini thirty which I bought as a rough mini that was taxed and tested. Got it home and started stripping it back. Lots of work but well worth it in the end.
This is what I started with

Is that Mappable ignition? What Plug leads are those? Mine are tiny ones off a fiesta...

It is a megajolt. Leads I got from work. Think they are fiesta leads or Escort. Needs setting up on the rollers to get ignition mapo sorted, I am running aldon red map which seems best at the minute. Not much power low down but once revving its away. Also got a 12G295 head and stage one kit fitted.

Im using a map that LJones from here gave me. (for a 998 stage 1 kit) I can upload it for you to have a go if you like, on my 998 though it does have a bit of a flat spot in the low rev's, same as yours...

I also need to find somewhere that's happy to map it and sort out the fueling the same time, seems people are happy to do one or the other but not both! If you find somewhere let me know! ;D

I'll also have a look at Escort leads to see if they are longer cheers!

Loving how clean the underneath is, Mines completely the opposite, it has the mother of all oil leaks so covers the entire underside of the car in oil.... lol

yep that's a safe map, no crazy advance etc to get you started.

blu30- car is defiantly familiar. think i sent you a few maps over on welsh mini owners club? when i was a member for a breif spell

yeah Mike did the bodywork. Dont use the mini much, need to use it more really but its a bit of fun.

i'd wrap it up in cotton wool if it was mine and only bring it out on special occasions

Made a new bracket for the back of the exhaust. Used a marine grade stainless clip and modified a bracket it looks alot neater now as you dont see a big U-Clamp now.

Lovely looking car, I just used a hose clip on my exhaust pipe. It's not caused me problems.
