cooper s

I've bin given a cooper s engine. I would like to know wat cc it is.
Had a look on the block can't see anything.
Can any help me please?

your very lucky if if you got a given genuine cooper s engine they fetch very good money

My dad is convinced its not a cooper s or cooper.
How can i tell wat engine it is?

has it got an engine number?

doh forgot there was the 1071 S if you got one of them your very lucky. a 1071 will have 1071 cast into the block

Has the block got 11 studs for the head and are there any tappet chest covers on the back of the block.?
I'll dig out the casting numbers which should be on the back of the block on the bottom right hand side.
Oh, is there a hole for a mechanical fuel pump on the back of the block.?

The Cast raised number is AEG 312 for 1275 S blocks.
See above for area to look on block to find it.
The 1071 S block is numbered AEG 151.
