Get some 3/4 " mdf, make a box with 1 cubic foot airspace inside, run silicone sealant around the inner edges. Screw it together tight use plenty of glue.
Should pound HARD in that.
If you ever want it mental loud I could design a ported box, could take a few days to design though..

its 250 rms im only running 200 through it, but i hear it can handle more than its suggested rms? If the box is spot on yes, it will probably take a good clean supply of 350wrms. Make sure the amp is set up correct though, its pretty simple to blow a sub even 1watt over its threshold if the amp is set up stupidly... (The number of people I see with bass boost turned on and gains set up really high is shocking... ...) Chipboard is nowhere near good enough for a sub enclosure really... 3/4"MDF and make sure the box is as close to 1cubic foot as possible (can be a little bit over if you want a deeper sound but it will be quieter than a correctly sized box). It will do for the weekend though, ;D just don't run it too loud as I know of chipboard installs that crack under heavy use which then makes an air leak and if the amp isn't set up right you can cause some proper damage to the sub. Looks a clean simple idea for the rear seat though! ;D EDIT: is the box not joined to the face by the sides? Just top and bottom? If so be REAL careful, that's a pretty big air leak right there...

I did make a complete box to cover it, but I will go and buy MDF to do it, theres no rush, I will take my time, draw it out etc, see what I come up with

14" x 14" x 12.5" Made out of 3/4" MDF Will give you an inside area of 1cuft. Or if you want it wider but not so deep you could do: 16" x 14" x 11" 3/4" MDF = 1cuft again. But you will have to check that's deep enough for your sub... Make sure you get 3/4" MDF though... And that you glue it And screw it (Ive blown off the top of one because I didnt glue it.. ) And afterwards run silicon sealant around the inside edge joins (inside the box) to get it as air tight as possible. grill the hole for the wires, put the wires in and then seal up that hole with gaffa tape. The more air tight you can get it the better the sound. Do all that and it will bang ;D
