As title asks, im having trouble, one with the small engine bay, & 2 the hoses are tighter than a ducks butt!

Fit the bottom hose to the rad before putting the rad in situ. Make sure the hose clip is opened up enough so it doesn't restrict the hose going over it's relevant connection. Drop the rad in loose and then connect the bottom hose to the water pump. Make sure the hose clip is on loosely beforehand. Then fix the rad in place once all the hard to reach hose clips are connected and tightened up. It might help to soften the ends of the hoses by immersing them in hot water if they are a very tight fit. Oh, it helps to put the hose clips on in such a way where you can get a screwdriver onto them easily.

Thanks matey, well after numerous bangings of the head, an injured knee and hammerite in my hair i shall leave it until tomorow
