Yep, I went. Easy for me, only a couple of miles travelling. Lots of tables & dealers who didn't mind haggling. Next local one is 5th May in Brecon, then Swansea 3rd June. OOOOHHHH, I'm in toy heaven.

Yep, you guessed right, but it could have cost a lot more. I thought you'd like the clockwork one. I wish I'd bought the white version as well. £7 was fairly reasonable i thought.

These models were only made for a short time circa 1962 - 1963. Believe it or not there are about 15 different versions of this model, colour, numbers, painted bonnets, unpainted bonnets etc.

That white model looks mint Dai and I'd kill for one in that condition. I managed to pick up a plain blue version in the market at Abergavenny a few years back, but I only paid a few pounds for it because it's a bit tatty and unboxed. Mint and boxed and the price would have been different then alright. There's a forum for Mini models too and I know they'd all be jealous if they saw that:- excoboard.com/exco/index.php?boardid=13326

How did it go Dai? I've built a train set layout for my son and all the little people are clearly Mini fans because it's populated with 8 Oxford Diecast Mini Vans of varying advertising slogans (one is a police van), plus quite a few Cararama Mini models too which include a Mini Panda Car, a Woody Estate and small pod caravan, a union jack Mini and a selection of other Minis that I found on the shelf in my sons room. Oh well I better start adding some trains now too! LOL just kidding.

Not bad Taffy. Didn't buy anything special. Keep an eye out for a new range by Corgi perfect for OO gauge railways.

Yes I've seen those Corgi Trackside models, but I've not seen any Minis yet. I'd really love to have one of those Scalextric 1967 Monte Carlo Mini Coopers though. That would go so well with the MKI Escort that's also available. Trouble is convincing the misses that we need them since we've had the Scalextric Minicross set since Xmas 1993. Okay my daughter was only 2 at that time, but I was sure she'd appreciate it for Xmas.
