It was a BRILLIANT day. Even though it meant a 5.30 start it was worth it. Driving up in convoy was a great experience and one I want to repeat at every opportunity. Having people waving at the side of the road and horns beeped as people overtook was great! Thanks to all of the members that went along, it's always good to catch up face to face and a special mention to Katies Mum, can't imagine mine going to a mini show, I hope you enjoyed the day! The final and biggest THANKS must go to Jamie. He polished not just his Dads car but Astons too (I hope he coughed some dough for that one), made teas and coffees all day and has an obvious talent behind the camera, take a bow fella Please post some more pictures they're excellent PS. Can I just point out that I was on the phone in one of the pics and NOT trying to look camp....... |

Well i made it home, on petrol vapuors. I was doing a fuel consumption test just to see how much the MPG is. I had some spare fuel in a can just in case. I think it worked out at roughly 48 MPG despite an, ahem, spirited drive between Sennybridge and Llandovery. Great fun. ;D ;D ;D Anyway, i digress. Twas a cracking day out. Nice to see all the old members and new ones. Well done to Bigend, 1st Mini show and 1st gong. Tidy one. Big TA for Jamie, coffee at it's best. He's doing you out of a job Corina. |

What did every get then? * I got a new grille for the Van, as I have a sneaky plan to stop me loosing the skin on my knuckles... * A garden Mini * Show plates * 2 mugs - one is from my club, the other is just a random mug i liked * Cylinder head hose take off thingybob * A Toy Van * Gear box gater * New roll pins Not worked out how much I've spent, but I've saved loads by haggling Sorry I wasn't around much guys, kinda had alot to do, in only 5hrs Thanks to Dai though, as I discussed my probs with the Van, and we came to a conclustion to the problem.... |

Cheers Chris, I don't think the judging was taken too seriously but it was nice anyway. I won't be buying a trophy cabinet anytime soon ;D Sorry you couldn't make the show, it would've been good to catch up (in a strictly hetro-manly sort of way obviously). I'll be having a word with Phil about the camp photo, it was him that took it after all  ;D |
