Right its time to tackle the interior. Unfortunatly this wont be done by the the swansea show on the 27th of this month but i may as well start getting ideas. Im really open to suggestions on this one as my imagination is rubbish. At the moment its a completely original mini city interior (except for the stupid blue pedals from the previous owner). Any ideas?

im not really sure. Modern i think. I dont want anything over the top. Maybe something like the mini 35 interior but a bit nicer. Ayone got ideas on how much it would cost to re upolster the seats in black leather?

Jackdoor did his Cooper seats in leather. he might remember how much the re-trim cost, but sit down whilst you're reading his answer.

You'd most definitely be better off re-trimming in vinyl, its a fraction of the price, and looks roughly the same..

Have a look on Newton Commercials site. Might give you an idea of designs and cost.

Jackdoor did his Cooper seats in leather. "Jackdoor" ;D ;D ;D Was a long time ago now but the front 2 Cobra recliners cost £200 to recover and the rear standard seat, including 2 headrests cost £150 to recover Bound to be more expensive now but to find out, get a quote from Jack Smith in Swansea. If you do go down that "Black" route you will also need to change or cover the door cards and rear pocket cards to complete the look. Then there is the top and bottom dash rails, the carpet, the seat belts, the steering wheel.... etc etc....... Have you thought about recovering the seats in Grey Leather

Whatever you do don't go with Ashley James (think that's their name) they also trade as m.a.d autotrim(also on eBay so be careful) they are complete idiots. Took months for the seats to arrive, they had headrests despite saying I wanted my existing seats covered because I knew the padding was good (my seats didn't have the headrest style frames). The door cards don't match, the back of one of the seats was scuffed and when we phoned to complain it took weeks to get through and they offer us £50...which we are yet to see....over a year on...
My interior coat 300 in vinyl. Most places were quoting 500 for vinyl or 900 for leather.
Always go for the middle quote! Pay peanuts get retarded monkeys.

Yep. If there is one thing I could have done differently on my car it would have been to avoid the seat cowboys. You can get tailor made seat covers made via a TMF member (cant remember who sorry) but then there is no option for fancy stitching etc its just a plain cover. and you will have to fit the cover yourself by taking off your old one... But if you hash it up it will look a mess, thats why I went for the 'pay and forget' option Phone around though! now its the recession and all this you may be able to talk down a few of the quotes you get.

You of course could also fit some Cobra Classics or other aftermarket seats.. less headache

Yep that's the second best idea... Cheaper to get a set of vinyl buckets and a vinyl rear seat cover than a retrim usually.. which sounds a bit backwards lol ;D

Just wondering coedy, did you get a quote off Jack Smith in Swansea when you had yours recovered? I've used him a few times over the years for various cars and he always seems reasonable to me
