Hi
Im going to take my mini to the rolling road that the club went to a while ago to get my car tuned and running smoothly, however i also want the correct carb fitted etc, i have the carb ready i just want him to fit it etc so do you think he will do that as well as set the car up on the rolling road?
cheers jamie

Can't see why not. Let him know beforehand though and expect to pay a little bit more for his time and have all the necessary gaskets etc.

Why not drive the Car up and change the carb yourself once there, saves a bit of cash

Is that the going rate? Maybe if we can get a few people to go up together we might get a group discount or something. You dont know if you dont ask

I found this place through a different forum. It doesnt say it has a rollling road on the website but the forum said it did. Maybe worth a look as its more local (for me at least).

Heard some horror stories (and some good things!) about Mosleys. Had a mate with a 1380 "tuned" there which then destroyed itself! My advice would be to be very careful how much you ask him to do in the way of "tuning".

Gotboost is a member of another forum im on. but when I asked about setting mine up he said he would need to hire someone in who knows about SU carbs so.... David Coe is down the road from me, one of the people who works there knows his stuff about Mini's (Its where I go to get tyres swapped because they know how to jack Minis!! ) Ive no idea if he would be in charge of the Rollers though..

Booked the rolling road for Thursday at Willfield rolling road in abercynon ( Merthyr way). Bit of a drive but he was recommended by the guys at target mini who fitted the stage 1 for me. In real need of tuning now as there's some severe flat spots. Hopefully the drive back will be more pleasurable than the drive up
