i use to share the same idea, but having a classic 1275 gt and a new style mini in my possession i beg to differ, the new style mini you can chuck around as good as the old one,its cramped in the back same as the old mini, theres no boot [ or very little ] same as the old mini, but i suppose the newer mini as serve a purpose as a modern small car that people enjoy driving, oh pretty much like the old mini when they first came out [ and continue in my view ] so there not so different after all just modern !!!! - vb

The jc version has different exhaust system apparently (maybe more) Lecturer in uni had the conversion. Apparently your within your right to ask for the original cooper manifolds etc back as the jc pack is an add on and not a replacement? Lecturer sold the parts on fleebay and got most of the cost of the jc pack back!

Apparently better suspension as well plus all the above , all I know is it puts a smile in my face everytime I get in it, gives me roughly 30-33 to the gallon and likes to be driven around town or on a run. -vb
