Any tips on how to get the upper n/s engine mount bolt to line up? Ive got the bottom one in and bolted through.. Can't get the upper one to bite the thread though got the upper and lower engine steadies on too.. Also the heate tap stud has snapped.. So while it's not running shall I bang my 1275 head on? Will it make much of a difference?

I normally bolt the mounts to the engine first then drop engine in it's much easier

just to say it wont run with the 1275 head on it and will do damage if you do, if your on about putting it on do nothing falls in it then that should be fine

Some people have done it but its luck that the head hasn't been skimmed etc , best bet is to sink the valves 40' to be sure
