Thought I'd add a few pictures here too since it passed it's MOT today after being resurrected after a 3 year laid up spell. Well we've owned it for well over 13 years, spent the odd quid or 2 on keeping it healthy and even though we toyed with selling it a few years back, we find we can't part with the bloody thing because we're hopeless Mini addicts.

Yes modern cars are usually reliable (some of the time) and comfortable, but there is nothing else on earth quite like a Mini. It's like a mischievous lovable pet and how can you get rid of something you love?

Plus after driving the docile family coach, the Mini feels like a go-kart and absolutely forces you to drive enthusiastically so before you know it you're flying around sharp bends much faster than you'd dare push the family coach.

So now I just need the cash so I can lavish it even more!

Yes it was positively awesome driving it again and thanks it's not in too bad a condition I guess. But the photo's are cleverly hiding the odd battle scar and rust blemish though and after years of heavy use (it was our main family car for several years and helped ferry our kids around) and a fair bit of use (it's almost gone around the clock) it has received a few new panels too.

Nothing really major needs doing now and if we can save a few pennies we'll certainly try to get it looking right, but we much prefer to drive and enjoy it than polish it to within an inch of its life and then not use it. But we still have it and we're going to carry on enjoying driving it too.
