The main prob i've had with my electrics is that they've tried to cram everything in so tight that the wires tend to rub on things and then short out.

It could be the bump ;D ;D
Best way is to have the engine running and move the harness with your hand, try the harness in different places. See if the engine cuts out when you do this, theres a 90% chance the harness in the engine bay is at fault as it has more chance of movng around. The rest is trapped by sound deadening and underlay.
The only other place is the fuel pump and wires to, the pump is in the tank I believe. So I would start in the engine bay and there maybe enough movement in the harness where it goes through the bulkhead to wear into the wires.
If the engine runs fine when standing still this is a good chance to see if you can make it stop and find out how and why.

If you can see if a friend can lend a hand, they can rock the car while you look for possible courses to the cutting out.
It's got to be one of two problems - ignition or fuel.
Harnesses and hoses when in the stationary position look fine, but move then just a little and you can see splits.
The other good thing about having two of you is one can be on 'turn the bloody thing OFF!' duty ;D ;D ;D ;D

think I've found the problem, the labda sensor wires have sliced right through. the inlet manifold has been rubbing against it and the bulkhead.
