Hi everyone, I am going to repair and put this mini back on the road asap, hopefully fot the new year. Bought this one in Swansea for a good price I think!, This one is to replace my other mini thats in bits as I wanted some thing to put on the road sooner rather than later. What we have here is a 1985 C reg mini mayfair 998cc with drum brakes all round. I shall get rid of those white wheels and replace with mamba alloys, change the front grill for a chrome one and have a good look at what needs doing to her, oh the wife named her gutsy

Cracking stuff Seb. I love Mamba alloys, I'm assuming you're going 6x10's with black centres and polished rims? What else needs doing body wise and what else do you have planned? Keep us informed mate

Minis are like rabbits. Before long You'll hav half a dozen of them parked on the drive. Chuck a bucket of water over them just to be on the safe side. ;D Looks clean for a C plater. Nice one.

Well Dai this is the second one, watch this space for more. This one came from longview road morriston, if any one knows anything about this car, I would love to find out some history. Body wise she looks o.k small dinks here and there and of course the dreaded bubble rust underneath the windows, 2 sills, driver floor pan needs welding, and the wiring needs sorting out got some lights but not all of them work. I shall have a good look over in the morning to see what else and to get some decent photos.
I have got my hands on some proper mamba centres, and shall polish the alloys up.

Hi everyone, computer packed up, just got it going this week. Yes i put the wheels on e-bay as i didn't like them much. Just put on new halogen conversion head lights, the wiring is a problem at the moment, in the process of fitting a speedo cable, needs to have 2 sills fitted and a small hole on the drivers side floor paching up. then i need to fit a carpet as the car hasn't got one.

Keep up the good progress Seb. Wiring was never my strong point on Minis. If all else fails consult the workshop manual for a wiring diagram.
