Thanks Bigend......
I'm very pleased with it so far!
All the big work is done, its just a matter of the icing on the cake then to get it looking as I want...I'm not fussy or anal about it , I just know how I want it to look!
Anyone got some decent period bucket seats (for a driver with a larger arse!!!)

Thanks Phil,
Bought it back in April, but have been using it cautiously as the engine was still being run in, after I'd put about 1000 miles on I put it on the Rolling Road with Tommy at Willfeld who gave it a full tuning session after which it's been as sweet as a nut and just pulls and pulls and is great fun to steer around roundabouts on the throttle..in the dry, somewhat trickier in the wet however!!
You may have seen me about in the Cardiff/Llantrisant/Pontyclun area, haven't got out as much as I wanted due to other commitments and the poor summer we've had!
Mind you had a great run on Thursday up to Jamies and then on up to Caerbont to see the Speedycable guys...

Cracking motor Stuart. Fancy a run out to Malvern on the 25th of Nov? BTW of you come across those seats you're after and they're a good price. Let me know, I'm after a pair too Cheers Oh and I meant to ask.....do you mind telling what the setting up session cost at the rolling road?

Bigend,
The tune up with Tommy at Willfield's was £75.00, excellent job too included replacing the dizzy cap & leads after the works replica ones fitted tried to electrocute him on several occasions!
Read Out was 95.5 bhp at the flywheel, 60.00 bhp at the wheels and 120nm of torque.
Acid - thanks for the headsup on the seats....
Regards
Stuart

Nice one Stuart. The Chap You're talking about is probably Dai Boswell. He knows his minis and i think He's still got Richard Longmans 1275 GT Race Car. Very Tasty indeed.

Hi Folks, Picked the seats up today, given them a good clean and inspection and just put them straight in...my god what a difference! Not wanting to blow my own trumpet but I really love 'em!!!! Dai Boswell's garage is amazing, Downton heads, engines manifolds, Longman engines, seats, blocks , amazing collection, whilst I was there I saw Cilla Blacks Wood & Pickett Mini the Arden 8 Port injection mark II Cooper S plus an australian mark I shell, rust free being used as a donor shell for a works rebuild, held an alloy boot that weighed about a1kg....amazing and all original unmolested 60/70's parts... Dai is an absolute Mini fanatic and it was great to talk with him for an hour or so about his cars and experiences....I'm sure I will be contacting him again soon! Anyway back to to the seats, this is what came out..... As you can see the passenger didn't get a great ride in my Mini!!!! The Corbeau seat is going Free to a good home!!!! Give me a call! This is the inside now.... I Love 'em...... Picked up this Astrali wheel the other day too..... So far so good....on to the spots/fogs and reversing light next...... Stuart
