Thanks Phil, Gar & JC
Seats are very comfortable and are able to accomodate the larger arse (yes I am carrying an ounce or two above my fighting weight)...
Apart from the additional lighting and generally tidying up I migh seek out a decent sump guard, again a period piece rather than one of the newer copies, might be calling Mr Boswell again, he had several New Old Stock Paddy Hopkirk sumpguards!
Then I might just break cover and meet up with you all...!!

Hi Folks...here's an update....
As soon as the sun started shining so the temperature of my S started going up and up and up and up....
Two words with two syllables both begining with b soon followed!
So at the moment, the lamps as above are being fitted, plus after several tests and flushing a hi performance super cool uprated 2 core radiator is going in....the engine upgrades proving too much for the old original radiator, took the opportunity to replace the water pump and slap a kevlar bypass hose in at the same time...
As always keeping the original parts if needed for a return to original spec if required.
Fingers crossed it will get some testing at the weekend.....praying for an N reading consistently on the temperature guage!!!
I will break cover soon, honest!!!!!!!
STOP PRESS...just go a set of 5 original magnesium NOS Minilites...33% lighter than the alloy ones ..good for speed and a super sexy period look!!
JC where's your cheque book?

Hmmm. The Age old problem of the "S" getting a bit warm. I had similar problems with my old Rally Mini. The cure eventually was by fitting a Blanking Sleeve instead of the thermostat. A header tank, (under the wing) to catch all the water that was forced out of the rad under pressure. A second small rad, (heater matrix) plumbed into the normal system. That cooled it down a bit, but i still think it was running too hot. Is the timing spot on with you, because sometimes that can cause overheating Problems. OH, yes. You jammy person you, getting hold of Genuine Minilites.
