will be under the original front, theres now way im chopping the front off a new bmh shell colin the van update bought my self a new mig welder plus a few other body/metal forming tools ;D so hope fully i can start on the body work again soon think i'll have to take insperation from dai photograph every little step, should make some intresting viewing when done.

ended up going for the clark pro 90 as it has the lowest minumum ampage i could find, (25A) which is perfect for body work. it will only do up to 2mm but any thing after that i use the arc welder any way

welll i've spent half a day on it now and im down to mainly what is needed still a masive amount of wires tho.
thanks dai, im doing ok with it at the moment but i'll be very nervous come the first start up

flame updatehave taken the flame off the road due to lack of brakes waiting to get hold of a new master cylinder now. also for the last few thousand miles its had a large oil leak from the head gasket replaced it and it cured it for a while but its leaking again t he block was skimmed when the engine was built last summer but i didnt bother with the head as it seemed ok. so today the head came off and its going for a skim tomorro was suprised to find that its blown the gasket between 2&3 and i hadnt noticed any affects

another flame updateim still waiting on a master cylinder, mini sport where the only ones who had them in stock so i had to order with them even tho i swore not to after last time and once again their messing me around . it should have been sent out on friday, phoned today and apparently its still sat on the shelf with the lack of parts to fit i finaly got around to painting my dash (nearly a year after fitting it ) ;D not sure if i like it red yet tho

Oh i Don't know LJ. It matches the rest of the Mini. Did you brush or spray it. Once again, i Can't believe the apathy of some Mini spares suppliers.

i sprayed it, it wasnt worth the fuss of rolling it.
once again i regret using minisport. if its not here by thursday i'll be cancleing the order. i think a week is long enough to wait for next day delivery

yet another updatefinaly got my master cylinder and picked up my skimed head. ;D had to take 7 thou of to get it flat, not sure if thats alot?

Might raise your compression ratio a bit. May possibly have to adjust the timing a tad.

flame is back on the road the brakes now work also the engine is up and running again ;D took it for a little spin and so far there are no signs of any leaks ;D will give it a few days before im happy its fixed it
