Hey all,
Firstly thanks for all the positive comments about my car, and thanks to Phil for posting the pictures, hopefully one day it might make it on to the stand, saw all you guy's at Melvern, well i saw the cars, no one was around, where were you all...coffee and burgers or sleeping off the rugby results?
The question is...
As you have seen i'm on 13" wheels now, changed from 12" with 145 tyres on, so do i need to get the speedo re-calibrated? i dont want to be blasteing down the road doing 30 whan i'm really doing 35??? sorry for my ignorance i'm a newbie to all this...
Cheers
Marv

Its all dependant on what FD you have in the box. Ina ll honesty, going from 10's-12's the speedo will be less than 1% out, and going from 12's - 13's is I think 1.2% out, the speedo will read slightly slower than your actual speed. If you in put what setup you have into this... www.guess-works.com/Gearbox/ratio.htmIt'll tell you your actual speed, and speedo speed

i used to have a fiesta that oringanly ran 13" wheels i changed them to 14" foucus wheels i then checked it with a road angel and it was spot on. i also done what you have when i had my cooper i went from 12" up to 13" cant seem to remember it makeing much difference. like dog say all speedo,s dont read exactly what it say on the clock they are always 2-3mph lower so you will probably find it will be spot on. hope this helps

If you do have a problem then 'Speedy Cables' is to hand in Swansea and they can usually sort you out.
