I purchased a Steel grinding / Cleaning set from Aldis recently. The set consisted of 2 Zip Wheels,(bevel & Cup) and 2 Flap Wheels of different grits. I only bought the set for the Zip Wheels, the Flap Wheels were a bonus. Or so i thought.  I used one T'other day to save my GOOD one and after about 10 seconds use the flaps started flying off.  Now, I always wear safety goggles and other safety gear so no damage was done to my person. A word of warning if anyone has bought the same kit,-------- CHUCK THE FLAP WHEELS IN THE BIN. They are dangerous. |

got to argree i had one explode and hit me in the face ( wasnt form aldi tho) luckly the main chunk missed my face but hit my goggles and ripped them off my head leaving a gash across my forehead and a smaller peice hit my cheek lucky that was only a graze.
dont think i'll be using one again soon

Agree with Gareth. go back and play hell, best them take them off being for sale than someone somewhere losing an eye or worse.

nope i have given up with aldi, I bought the mig they sold a while back, first 1 didnt even work, second 1 went bang straight away didnt even get to use it and it took them a month to replace, third 1 went bang sent it of for repair and they sent a chain saw back!!!  finaly got the welder back after 2 months and it went bang again. They wouldnt give a refund each time but by the time the last 1 went bang the also gave up and refunded me. the annoying thing was aldi wont give out their store number so each time you want to find out where it is or how long it will be you have to go to the store  Personly i think with aldi your fine untill it breaks and then you will whish you had spent a little more and got a well known brand. |

well the last time we went over ready to lay in to them and threaten legal action etc etc we walked in and the woman said sorry and give us our money, she didnt even know we had gone there about the welder
