Hi all, i've just bought this '90 cooper... and just wondering how far from standard it is acceptable to modify it. i.e. non gen leather interior, no standard bespoke dash... cheers Ryan

In my opinion, its acceptable to do exactly what your heart desires,
there are mini purists who insist on Standard issue dust caps etc etc,
and there are radical modifiers.
each to they're own i say.
Good luck and keep us posted.

"Each to their own" is exactly what Classic Mini's are all about Ryan! Do exactly what you think looks good to you! You may find it useful to talk to Taffy1967 as it looks like you may have one of the Mainstream Coopers that are now getting quite rare. Good luck with the project & keep us all up to date with loads of pics of the progress. jc

cant wait to see what you do it mate! keep us posted! as for how far you can mod it, check its not a super rare one, if it is then just make all the mods revisible! (which t sounds like you were going to do anyway). as long as it can be put to standard by the next owner i dont see the problem! dont go makig it into a trailer or a shorty though lol.
