where the manifold joins the head? other than that there isnt many other places it could be coming from... its quite worrying though... could be worth taking your exhaust system off and giving it an eye over yourself...

just took it to a few more places they all said the same thing. get a extension for the end of the exhaust. might have to get different seals for the rear door as well.

Just looked at the pics of the van but the one of the back end doesn't show the position or lenght of the exhaust. Have you got a pic showing the end of the exhaust in more detail To be safe the end of the exaust pipe should be at least flush with the back edge of the van but since you have the towbar fitted you can afford to make it a bit longer. Still think it might be the rear door seals not doing their job well enough though. Does the rear door feel secure when its shut or can you see any gaps around the seal? Might be a good idea to fit a nice shiney exhaust tail pipe to cure the problem and add a bit more shiney chrome at the same time jc

the exhast ends about an half an inch before the back of the van. the seals are not the best there not like on normal door seals there like bits of rubber. would take a pic for you but i would get a bit wet ;D
