sons clio ran out of diesel earlier....now we have no glow plug light and a non starting car....
tried to prime the system but nothing comming through....do these have a fuel cut off switch and if so does anyone know where it would be....`cause the fuel pump isnt pumping and cant gt diesel through the system

theres a pump thingy on top of the fuel filter....been pumping it like crazy but nothing comming through (but it seems to be working as the bleed screw has air comming through when pumped.....think it needs a good but of suction....lol

ok if you got a bleed screw and you got a lot of air keep pumping till you got no air and you have some dsl coming out.  |

ok...would it cause the glow plug light and battery light not to come on?  .the handbrake and oil light are ok ...theres no fuel pump sound at all when we switch the ignition on?? |

had this problem with my saxo.there is a fuel cut off switch under bonnet on bulkhead.its usually on passenger side.its covered in rubber.press it once or twice and see what happens

o i. there normally red if i remember rightly there,s something similar on the later minis, failing that have a check of the fuses

i know all about the mini ones.....lol...kept shutting off when i went over bumps....
have checked all the fuses i can find.....under the dash and in engine bay...all good.....looked all round the bay and cant find a cut off anywhere....tried inside the car, footwells, by the fuses....we did have a haynes here but cant find it anywhere

its m-reg......1.9 diesel, been sorn for over 3 years while he put his mods on it and passed his test
