thought i'd post up some pics othe the girlfreinds mini which seems to spend most of its time in my garage it was bought as an unfinished project after her old mini got rear ended by a landrover any ways this is what it was like when bought trying to get it up my drive ;D next came a small amount of welding this was my first attempt at ming welding i've got alot mre practice in now and have improved then a new door then it came to the engine and subframe, her old engine had not long had all the seals replaced and the subframe had new bushes so it was decided to put that into the new mini pic shows the subframe and engine just removed in front of the car and the her old ( but reconditioned ) one to the side ready to go in. then the front end had a few coats of primmer, the car used to have spords pack wheels so the old crap copy s/pack arches had to be refitted to please the mot man as the lip had been cut off the wing all the above took me around 2 months of weekends, as i could only come back from uni at weekend. it was moted and thats pritty much how it stayed untill the last few weeks. in the last couple of weeks its had a new engine because the big ends decided they didnt want to play any more, have replaced the awfull s/pack arches for some grp 7 items and its had 3 of the 6 coats of paint needed and as on my other thread the revolutions i refurbished which are waiting to be fitted
