;D I have now got my new mini and have a few questions for you experts. Firstly the throttle stick now and again, is this the norm for mini? Secondly the mini is black with chequed roof and i think i will crome the hell out of it, is this a good thing? Crome GB sticker, crome boot hinges and light cover etc. Lastly i have looked at the rear number plate light cover and there are different types ie, mark 1,2 and 3. My mini is a Mini studio 2 so which fits and is this a decent mini.

Great news about the new Mini!! As Phil says chrome on black in the sunshine looks amazing! and I'm not just saying that cos I've got one the same either!!!!! ;D From my experience one thing to be a bit careful about with new chrome bits is that a lot of cheapy chrome bits that you can buy at the shows these days rust within 12 months If you can, buy older chromed bits or get stuff re-chromed by a reputable firm. jc

looking forward to the mini runs when is the next one? Trying to get my wife involved but even though this is our third mini (admittidly the last two were falling apart and never started leaving oil pools everywhere) she is less than enthusiastic as she says "its cramped and noisy" i keep saying thats all part of the fun

Stunning looking Mini, I also like the seats in the 'Studio 2'.
As for the sticking throttle, pop the air filter off and try lubricating the cable where it attaches to the carburettor with some 3 in 1 oil.

THe mini looks lovely, I like the way the stripes are , they are different to most with stripes on the bonnet. Check out the future events section for the next run and show, and try to make it to castle combe and your wife will really enjoy. She might get to like minis again
