I used this stuff on the mark 3 cortinas I used to have, but can I use it on a more modern motor (my Alfa). If so I assume you just chuck it in the resevoir and let it go through the system

While modern car cooling systems have advanced in design over the years I would have thought that the principle of a Radiator leak sealant would remain the same.
If you are using it to cure a leak I would only use 1/2 the treatment at 1st to see if that is sufficient to seal the leak and only use the 2nd 1/2 if required.
If you are using it purely as a lubricant and conditioner / de-scaler then use it as instructed on the container
I always use Bars Leaks myself and have found it to be better than Radweld in many cases

Cheers irish, I'm trying to find a rad from a breakers at the mo as it doesn't look like the rad weld has worked. I am having another go at it though as I didn't read the instructions and went for a blast as I haven't driven my alfa for a while. (been enjoying the mini too much)

as jc has said, use bars it far better than carplans radweld + often works when radweld does'nt i have found. either the tube which you crumble by hand into rad or the liquid equally good

Rad weld didn't work, but as I put it in with the coolant apparently it was never going to (wish they had put that on the bottle), it turned my blue coolant clear!!!!!. I am now going with K Weld which you can use with coolant or whatever else you have in the motor This stuff sounds the dogs, but I'll let you know.
