I'd say circa £4000-£5500 (Retail tho, trade less).. check out ebay or autotrader (the trader would be a better bet tho). Try HERE but refine the search with the extra keywords "cooper sport" for a more deffinative answer.

Cooper Sport generally means it's a late model.
The very last 500 are the most special though and they should have a little sticker in the glove box stating the fact their the last 500 built.

thanks guys, i'll be going tomorrow to have a much better look at it, and will make an offer depending on the condidtion. one thing i noticed earlier is the fan runs all the time but im pritty sure thats just the water temp sensor playing up so if they accept my offer heres the ( long and complex) plan the MOT + insurance on my daily drive ( 89 flame) runs out in december so i'll carry on using it untill then. once the insurance has run out i'll insure the cooper and make it my daily drive for a year whilst i take the flame off the road for new sills general tidy up and a respray ( posible 16v engine transplant). Then after a year i'll re-MOT tax and insure the flame and sell the cooper as i cant afford to keep Both mini's and my van on the road ( thats if the van ever see's the road again) good paln?

Nice one,
RE Fan...
it should have been recalled by rover to have the wire's changed to the sensor,
My advise is where the loom is clipped to the inner wing, carefully slice open the tubing for a couple of inches to see if you can see the joined wires,
old wires are pink, new ones are brown, If the wires have been joined, then it has been recalled and should be ok. Rover want £27 for the new plug and a few inches of wire, but my plan was to strip the wires close to the plug and solder new wires, ( which turned out to be the advice from the guy at Rover)
The new sensor cost me £12 from the land rover dealer in llansamlet,
