well i've bought a W reg Cooper sport ;D . it came with a full service history but sadly there are a few rust bubbles etc. its being put into daily use straight away ;D picked it up tonight,   will get better pic soon |

Stuning colour and sounds like you had a bargain  An old member bought a V reg one for more last year and that needed a complete front end and new doors  yeah i love the colour ,i've been wanting a tahiti blue sports pack since i got into minis, its taken a while but now i got one ;D it will need abit of body work but hopefully nothing to serious. first thing thats gonna happen tomorrow is removing the center console! it just gets in the way of the clutch pedal also got to go buy a new trye for it  |

I know I am being really dull!!! (I know nothing new there!  ) but it looks the same as ours & its a w reg but we've got a silver dash & silver & black seats & streering wheel  why is that?  |

Maybe one's a Cooper sport 500 and the other is just a Cooper sport? I think the sport 500's had an alloy gearknob and silver interior. Please correct me if I am wrong as I don't wish to offend anyone.

Yup. ours is a 500 and when i was doing my project i found out that the 500s came with all the alloy and metal tiddly bits. . getting confused here. my x bought a w reg sports pack new but it was,nt a 500 but it did have the silver dash and seat also a electric roof. ;D |

If it was a 500 then it would have had a sticker or plaque in the glovebox.

whilst going through the bills etc that came with the car i found a recipt for a wallnut dash & center console, so it looks like the previous owner prefered the wood look or somthing.
cant comment on the black and cream leather tho

just been out for a drive ( first time) and its rather good, probly not as much fun as the other 2 minis but its a hell of alot more civilized, will be much happier to drive long distances now. an update on the trim spec etc... going thru the paper work theres a letter from the rover dealer ( in bristol) stating that the car was shipped to a dealer in holland, who then stopped trading so it was shipped back 2 weeks after getting there and registered here. so it might be posible that they had it built to a diffrent spec? |
